Editorial Policy
The Terasu blog is written for people who run B2B sales and sales enablement, with the goal of publishing information they can actually act on. This page sets out the standards we hold articles to, and what we do when something turns out to be wrong.
Editorial team
Articles are written and edited by the Terasu editorial team (the sales enablement team at Koromo, Inc.). They draw on what we learn building and operating Terasu, our digital sales room, about how deals progress and how buyers actually behave.
For topics that call for specialist knowledge, a named supervisor reviews the article. When an article has been reviewed, the supervisor's name appears at the top of it.
Sourcing standards
- We cite primary sources for statistics and research findings — the study itself (its report or PDF), not a news write-up or an infographic derived from it.
- We keep figures in the units the original defined. We do not restate an odds ratio as a probability, or make any other paraphrase that changes the meaning.
- We do not chain separate studies together as if they were one. Where the year, the researchers, or the population differ, we report them separately.
- We do not publish received wisdom we cannot trace to a primary source, however widely it circulates.
Verification and retraction
When a sourcing error comes to light after publication, we retract the claim and correct the article. We do not stop at the one article.
- Every retracted citation is registered as a detection rule, recorded together with the reason we withdrew it and the exact wording we withdrew.
- Those rules run as an automated check on every article change. This is what stops a retracted claim from reappearing — restored from an older version, or copied across when a Japanese article is translated into English.
- Article metadata such as the title and the publication and update dates is validated mechanically before an article goes live.
Updates
Articles we revisit carry an update date. Where information depends on a point in time — regulations, pricing, product capabilities — we state the date it was accurate as of.
Corrections
If you find an error or a sourcing problem in anything we have published, please tell us at the address below. We will check it and correct what needs correcting.
