Manage Room material sets

Room material sets group related files such as proposals or contracts. They are managed separately from Terasu Signal document sets.

Create a set and add files

  1. Open the Room’s files view and create a new set
  2. Enter its name and save
  3. Open a file’s more-actions menu and choose the add-to-material-set action
  4. Select the destination set and confirm

Filter by material set to see its files. Files without a set appear in the unassigned-files section.

Rename, reorder and share

Use the set’s actions to rename it or move it up or down. The share-set action creates one external link for its files. An empty set cannot be shared. For access conditions, expiry and revocation, see Share selected files externally.

Delete a set

Deleting a set keeps its files and existing share links. To stop sharing, revoke each link separately. Files that also belong to another set remain in that set.

Browse from the library

Inside the library’s Room folders, material sets appear as folders. Create and reorder them in the Room’s files view. See Using the library.

Delete a set through MCP

MCP additions not included in the first release: delete_material_set、prepare_delete_material_set. These additions are planned for a later release. Existing screen operations remain available.

Call prepare_delete_material_set with top-level roomId, setId, expectedVersion and idempotencyKey (YYYY-MM-DD:UUID). Review the name, item count and impact. Then pass the same input and key, plus a confirmation containing the returned operationId, payloadHash, approverUserId and expiresAt, to delete_material_set. Confirmation expires after ten minutes; changes to the set or its version also require preparation again.

MCP deletion supports sets of up to 100 files; use the app for larger sets. You need files:write and current internal edit access to the Room. Deleting a set preserves its files. For an unknown outcome, inspect get_mcp_operation (also requiring files:read) and do not automatically repeat deletion. See MCP operations.
