Stakeholder Map

The stakeholder map visualizes the relationships between the decision-makers and key people involved in a deal as a node-based diagram. Share with your team who the decision-makers are and who you should be approaching.

Stakeholder map

Opening the stakeholder map

  1. Click the "Stakeholders" tab in the Room
  2. The map appears (the nodes are empty the first time)

Only internal members can view and edit the stakeholder map. It is not shown to external members (customers).

Adding a stakeholder

  1. Click the "Add" button on the map
  2. Enter the name, job title, and department
  3. Set the following properties
  4. Click "Save" to add the node to the map

Generating update suggestions with the AI Agent

The AI Agent can extract candidate stakeholders from submitted information—meeting notes, transcripts, emails, chats, PDFs/PPTX, and more—and suggest updates to the stakeholder map.

  1. Add a transcript or notes to the AI Agent or to "Submitted information"
  2. Ask it to "organize the people and their roles from this content"
  3. Review the name, role, influence, and supporting evidence in the approval card
  4. Select only the candidates you need and approve them

Stakeholder updates are internal information. They are not shown to external members (customers).

Editing a node

Click a node on the map to open the sidebar and edit its profile. You can freely rearrange nodes by dragging and dropping them.

Saving the layout

Node positions are saved automatically. Teammates see the same layout when they open the map.

Embedding in a page

You can also embed a stakeholder map within the page editor.

  1. Open the slash menu in the page editor
  2. Type /stakeholder
  3. Select "Stakeholder map"

Embedding a stakeholder map in a proposal or an internal report page makes it easier to share the full picture of who's involved.

Tips for getting the most out of it

  • Early in the deal: Start by mapping key people based on the org chart
  • Mid-deal: Update the influence and sentiment you learn during discovery
  • Late in the deal: Once the approval path is clear, save it as the final relationship diagram
