Setting Up Slack Integration
When you integrate with Slack, you can automatically send Room activity notifications to a Slack channel. You can track customer viewing activity and messages in real time.

Enable Slack integration
- Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to open the menu
- Select "Settings"
- From the settings page sidebar, open "Integrations"
- Click the "Connect" button for "Slack Integration"
- Select your workspace on the Slack authorization screen
- Grant the permissions Terasu requires
- Click "Allow" to complete the connection
Slack integration requires admin privileges in your Slack workspace. If you don't have them, ask your Slack admin for approval.
Set the notification channel
You can set the destination Slack channel for notifications per Room.
- Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to open the menu
- Select "Settings"
- From the settings page sidebar, open "Integrations"
- In the "Slack Integration" section, select the Room to notify about
- Select the destination Slack channel
- Select the activities to notify about
- Click "Save"
Notified activities
| Activity | Description |
|---|---|
| Customer enters a Room | When an external member starts viewing a Room |
| A file was viewed | When a file such as a PDF is opened |
| New message | When a message is posted in a Room |
| Task status change | When a task is changed to completed, etc. |
Disconnect the integration
- Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to open the menu
- Select "Settings"
- From the settings page sidebar, open "Integrations"
- Click "Disconnect" for "Slack Integration"
- Click "Disconnect" in the confirmation dialog
Disconnecting the integration stops Slack notifications for all Rooms. If you want to stop notifications for a specific Room only, disable it individually from the Room settings on the "Integrations" page.
