Block Types Reference

This guide covers the block types available in the page editor and how to use each one.

Page editor

Text blocks

Paragraph

A standard text block. Press Enter to start a new paragraph.

Heading

Three heading levels are available. Insert them with /h1, /h2, or /h3.

Quote

Insert a quote block with /quote. Use it to attribute a source.

List blocks

Bulleted list

Insert with /bullet. Press Tab to nest an item and Shift+Tab to un-nest it.

Numbered list

Insert with /numbered. Numbers are assigned automatically.

Checklist

Insert with /checklist. Handy for task management or tracking items to confirm.

Media blocks

Image

Insert an image from an upload or a URL with /image. Captions are supported.

File

Attach a file with /file. It appears as a download link.

Structural blocks

Table

Insert a table with /table. You can add and remove rows and columns.

Divider

Add a section divider with /divider.

Special blocks

Callout

Insert a highlighted box with /callout. Use it to draw attention to important points or notes. The colored background helps the box stand out.

Toggle

Insert a collapsible section with /toggle. Great for FAQ-style content or hiding detailed information that can be expanded. Click to expand or collapse.

Task list

Embed a task list with /task_list. You can create and manage task status directly within the page. Changes also sync to the Room's "Tasks" tab.

Sub-page

Create a nested sub-page with /sub_page. Use it to manage documents in a hierarchical structure.

Library

Insert assets (images, videos, files) from your Workspace library with /library. Reuse the same materials across multiple Rooms.

Stakeholder map

Insert a stakeholder map with /stakeholder. Visualize the relationships between key people within an organization. For details, see Stakeholder map.

File viewer

Embed a file preview with /file_viewer. View PDFs and images directly within the page.

Your most-used block types appear at the top of the slash menu. The order is automatically optimized based on how often you use each block.
